Call for contributions to the Tourism Review
AIEST, the International Association of Scientific Experts in Tourism and invite you to contribute through articles to the international platform in tourism research.

Objective and policy

The objective of the Tourism Review is to contribute to a deeper understanding of tourism as an interdisciplinary phenomenon and to provide insights into developments, issues and methods in tourism research. The methodical orientation thus leans towards system theory.

The Review targets scientists as well as policymakers and managers. For this reason the main focus is on issues in the following categories:
- tourism demand and its development in a socio-economic context
- managing tourism products and services in a destination network with its social, ecological and economic interrelations
- markets and its institution in transition

The Review is a publication in English language only which promotes an exchange of scientific concepts and research findings between different cultures and across language barriers. It also provides a platform for the preliminary results of young researchers. The reference is based on international standards, with a double blind review system.

Principal criteria used by the editor and the members of the editorial board

- Does the article contribute to a deepened understanding of tourism as an interdisciplinary phenomenon?
- Does it provide a deepened understanding of methods used in tourism research?
- Does it present its results clearly and understandable for scientists and practical experts?
- Does it provide any relevant results for scientists/ further research, politicians or managers?
